Le Tree on the Moon

Miles away

Space

Empty and void

Lies the moon

Gray and lifeless

The surface

Barren

With the exception

Of one

A gray old oak

Alone

Never moves

No morrow for comfort

On a world

Void of wind

Leves green

Acorns brown

Branches, bark

How did it

Get there

No one knows

About the

Tree on

the Moon
